"You really loved him,
Didn't you?"

My perfectly pink lips quiver
As hot tears brim my eyes.
I nod my head yes;
Of course I did.
But I loved him much more
Than just a nod.
He was a deep breath
Of fresh air,
A shooting star
Across a jet black sky,
The split second silence
Under a highway bridge
In the pouring rain.

But I could only nod.

"Smile, darling.
You have so much ahead of you."

But once again, I could
Muster only a nod.
A disbelieving nod,
But a nod just the same.
This is pathetically cliche, but it had to be done. Also, when you type "nod" six times in a poem this short, it starts to look like it isn't a word at all. . .

explorereality
Watching midnight strike,
The clock stands at the foot of my bed,
Ticking the seconds till death becomes me,
Thinking about life is all I can do,
Watching others love while I waste away,
The torture and humiliation of high school,
The death of my soul,
The beautiful music I made,
The love I gave but was never given back,
One last pill or cut of the wrist...
I welcome you death with open arms.
**I'm not suicidal I just decided to write a poem about death**

DieingEmbers
She is the serrated edge
of the broken
wine glass
carving up my face
leaving open wounds
where she touched
me
all that remains of us
is
deeply
painful memories
and the scars
of moments past.
Don't ask

DieingEmbers
You lay there
with bed head hair
and
morning breath...

Dried drool on your lower lip

the remnants
of last nights take away

still present in your teeth

and all I can think
Is

how beautiful you are and how much I love you

I found my way back
back, to that place I go to
When I cry
When I sleep
When I die
High in the atmosphere
into worlds.
I have my own hide away
no one can find me.
I've watched the universe
spin slowly.
Change from dark to light,
night to day,
night to day.
I've seen caves and creatures
roam the planet.
Lush green trees
ripped from their homes.
Giant animals
fall to the ground.
I've called upon the archangels for protection
from the darkness that has covered the earth.
I've fallen out of my hiding place
and landed in the darkest of nights.
Sun that seems too bright.
Nights that seem too long.
Haunted by words that will
never
never
ever
fade.
But yet, I've always return
to my spot in the sky,
to watch the evolutions,
revelations, the nightmares
and the miracles.
I've watched our
Mother
Father
God
destroy and rebuild.
Destroy and rebuild.
I've seen the most beautiful things.
Even the city lights
look like fireflies illuminating the planet
from here.
I've found beauty in everything.
Every word.
Every taste, smell, touch.
Every third eyed sensation.
I am not omnipresent.
Only...
present.
I glow a soft shade of purples and blues.
Indigos.
All shades, with a white crown upon my head
pouring out the purest of white lights.
My head tilts back as I pray for salvation on earth.
Peace among men.
An awakening.
The earth glitters with hope.
I sit and wonder as I mindlessly play
with the token around my neck.
A ring for prayer.
A reminder of greatness.
I gently allow myself to fall,
sink slowly through the atmosphere
like I am drowning during a sunset.
Tragic, yet beautiful.
Again, down, down.
My wings know not to save me.

DieingEmbers
Clockwork child with neon eyes
you've seen so many things
the death of man and fallen skies
and winter born of spring

Your clockwork mind predicted all
but man was far too dumb
to heed your words upon the wall
and so you just kept sthum

Your clockwork heart broke like a Child
as nature payed the price
and now the dead are neatly piled
beneath a world of ice
Maybe it won't be computer error that ends it all

Traveler
For her I played a song of lust
It still haunts me across the years
Caught between severed ties of trust
Like an image between two mirrors

I see her eyes they never change
They still see straight through my soul
She draws me in her vicious game
Such a familiar repeting role

An echo on some distant wind
She draws me back for more
I write a dozen songs to mend
Still my heart's an open sore

The pattern is our worlds collide
They we go our separate ways
Across a sea of inconsistent lies
We ride on different waves

All my life
I sought
an angel.
And he appeared
in order to say:
"I am no angel !"
