I hate when that happens.
Just as I feel things are ok,
suddenly it's my fault again.

There's nothing quite

glad

I glued my
eyes
to the sliver
screen,
at least movie
stars
show up for
me.

Taking a nap
during
the day is
not
lazy it's an
act
of charging ones
batteries.

Finally receiving a medical
prognosis
feels sobering because my
health
will improve but only
after
I go under the
knife.

I'm the scarecrow
standing
still beside the
field
shooing away all
those
birds flying past
me,

for my heart
was
replaced with straw,

and
now I cannot
receive
my beloved crows
anymore.

My raven-haired
lady
left me
alone
without the
chance
to say
goodbye.

I like you,
but I don't want to fall in love.
It's been a long summer.
I need some rest.
You're beautiful around the eyes,
but you deserve something more.
I need to get going
the rest of my life is up ahead.

Today my Mom
gave
me some good
news
the test results
read
that cancer didn't
spread
through her entire
body;

I can rest
easy
knowing that she's
okay.

When I couldn't
pay
for my groceries
Grandma
loaned her debit
card
and paid for
me.

I'm going to
rinse
my mouth with
warm
salt water every
two
hours for a
few
days till my
swollen
gums start to
heal;

I'll do it
because
it's Grandma's home
remedy.

Try finding just one
thing to be happy about
every single day.

I'm grateful
for
the heartbreak
because
it showed
me
we're not
meant
to be
together.

Today my
family
came and
brought
me groceries
because
I'm too
sick
to go
shopping
on my
own;

I broke the
hose
that we use

spray the sidewalk
clean

accident,

What's beautiful
about our
