How did this
Happen all
Of a sudden
Mechanize life
Down to the days hours
Minutes seconds
What happened to this hole
Is for food
This pole is for ***
Now a hole in the schedule
Is the only place to stick it
The Jolteon Nov 2017
Somebody to creep
Through these cold
Lonely
Streets with me
These old lonely
Beats
That keep playing
In my head
Someone to hold my hand
While we see
Everything we’ve been missing
In this city
The Jolteon Jan 2015

Taking steps
Step by step
Taking hours
Minutes by seconds
Taking grief
Piece by piece
Losing sleep
Dream by dream
The Jolteon Dec 2014
Beautiful things lay in wait
everything happens for a reason
life produces music to show we’re not alone
imagination can take you anywhere
every person feels shared emotions
vaults are meant to be opened
everything is gonna be alright
Last line taken from a song titled "Believe"
The Jolteon Dec 2014
Someone to motivate us in our life
Someone to believe in us
To support us
And tell us to do what we think is right
To pull us up
To say that it's ok
That we can do it
Even if we make mistakes

Someone
Like poetry
The Jolteon Nov 2014
Why does the world exist
for Life
Or
for Money
People came from the Earth
Money did not
We look like fools
Running around
For money
Letting humans starve
Exploiting them for their life
How many souls does it take
To create wealth
Title taken from the book titled "The Wealth of Nations"
The Jolteon May 2018
The things that we do
For ten seconds of bliss
Search for it in beauty
Not empty bottles of ****
There are positive ways to seek bliss and happiness, and there are negative ways that damage our mind, body, and soul
The Jolteon Feb 2015
What's love got to do with it
Especially after a few drinks
The airs thick with it
Been in and out of too much
Confusion of one over the other
Let time tell what we mean
To one another
It's all here and gone
What's love got to do with it
First and last lines taken from a song
The Jolteon Jan 2015
Globally
The 80 richest people
Have as much wealth as 50% of the human population (3.5 billion)

What is the resolution
For 2015
Economic inequality
Is raging the world over
Let our speak of peace
Resonate with reality
Attach it to the peace of mind
Of economic security
What ever happened
To the war on poverty in the USA?
Replaced with a phony war on Drugs and now Terrorism
Black Panthers were militantly against poverty
The FBI stated the greatest threat from the Panthers
Was not the guns
Was not violence
It was the Free Children's Breakfast Program started in Oakland
Where they fed hungry poor kids
Now tell me where the progress is
Because there are still hungry poor kids in Oakland
There is still poverty
The world over
As we welcome 2015
Let us truly fight for peace

The Jolteon Dec 2014
Time must move forward
For anything to progress
Or change
There is no skipping
Fastforwarding
Or going back
Time must pass
Before anything else can
This is a reality
But there is a way to slow time
To try and sort things out
Before they pass by
Take a deep breath
Inhale
Exhale
Who says that we cannot live forever
In each second
The Jolteon Dec 2016
As I let love slide out my grasp
I see your hair twist and twirl again
To the sea of an ocean blown away
Again and again sand finds my toes
My fingers curl into yours
On the West Coast the air blows
Notes that are only meant for you
The Jolteon Jan 2015
The steps outside
That trace a fear
An aching in the heart
When your own consciounce
Betrays you
Leaves you to be consumed
By untempered thoughts
The Jolteon Feb 2019
Open bottles just sitting
My insides just rotting
Even in my dreams
Rage consumes me
Dares me to dunk
My head back under
A pool of liquor
Sober in my dreams
The Jolteon Nov 2014
Do not lament
The depressed poet
Lament the grinning executive
Counting their dollars
Instead of their dreams
The Jolteon Dec 2016
Soft tales
Of a life relaxed
Got your job
Pay your tax
Raise your kids
Buy your shack
Get a ring
Grow intact

Hard tales
Of a life off track
Started young
Saw the cracks
Fought for justice
Got pushed back
See the face of the homeless
Never forgot that
The Jolteon Jan 2015
The fear of the unknown
Let it sow
Let it grow
Hiding like the monster
You have consumed
Cast in doom
The light it swirls
All in your head
Wrapped in bed
We hold on for dear life
Cast in strife
The Jolteon Oct 2016
You got older
Your face got less and less familiar
Who was the person painted
In your past
You are unsure as you start looking
For more
For girls in boys
And boys in girls
For men in women
And women in men
You look at yourself
Painted in the mirror
At 3AM
Feeling happiness in beauty
But shame in who you are
You want what you are not supposed
To have
You want
Something else
This is about being different in terms of what gender norms expect of people versus who they really are and how they really feel
The Jolteon May 2018
I've been so selfish for the last year
Pulling out my hair just thinking of you
Happier lost in bliss than parked on your lips
The time has come for us to move on
The Jolteon Aug 2019
My #1 dropped off
Was getting too topped off
Running around my house
Until my face fell off

My #2 became 1
Burning like the sun
Killing all my thoughts
But still wanting to run

My #3 took its place
The city by the Bay
I live and die for the people
SFC no other equal

My #4 moved away
She hated the ******* Yay
I still love her to this day
But it’s better off this way

My #5 fell from the sky
An angel in disguise
She’s my ******* Queen
#1 one day she’ll be
Alcohol, ****, San Francisco, my X, my new love. What’s important?

Chin Up
Head Up
Chest Out
Shoulders Raised
Back Straight
Decisive Walk
Look Important

Chin Down
Head Down
Chest Caved
Shoulders Slumped
Back Crooked
Unsure Footsteps
Look Unimportant

Chin Straight
Head Straight
Chest Relaxed
Shoulders Comfortable
Back Flexible
Slow Steps
Look Calm
The Jolteon Feb 2015
You were busy
When you invited me over
So I slept
While you worked
You woke me up
In the middle
Of the night
Before you joined me
To drift off to sleep
The Jolteon Oct 2014
Adults
Are just
Kids
That got
BIGGER
Don't you remember
Being a kid
Knowing
You were right

In America
White supremacy
Rules
Domestic and abroad
The wallet is clutched
By a white hand
Usually male
White supremacy
Is not talked about
Post-race era
In the middle of
The new Jim Crow
"White lives matter"
They scream
We know
Turn on the TV
It's all we hear
Sacrifice yourself abroad
For the white imperialist
Because don't you know
Your life doesn't matter
The Jolteon Jan 2015
As this instant
Melts to time
I am wondering where I am
Before
After
I am taken above the clouds
Then dropped back to the mud
I thought I could hold you forever in this memory
But you are fading with me
The Jolteon Oct 2016
Workers
Are pawns
In a CEO chess game
You live or you die
For someone else's gains

The company will sacrifice you
It will beat you
It will feed you crumbs
The worker begs

Your boss smiles
With a knife in your back
Twisting it
Until you smile too
The Jolteon Oct 2014
Is it better
To take it smiling
Or give them hell
I do both
I think it is healthier
The smile
Gives you piece of mind
Knowing what you have guarded
Your rage, anger, judgements
It allows for internal reflection
What was done, how it felt
What it means
Finding calm in a storm
In a smile
The hell unleashed
In freeflowing thought
Is unmatched in its sincere devotion
The heart guides the tongue
Releasing what storms inside
Unapologetic for the truth
Laid starkly bare
Words rip like lighting
Across the medium
Open the book
Then close it
The Jolteon Sep 2014
What is your worth
What does it matter to you
Feeling useless, laid off

Does it matter to them
To see you happy
They never asked, if you have kids
To feed

What is your time
Worth
To you
To them

Can it be so easily spent?
The Jolteon May 2018
A poet
An activist
A lover
An organizer
A writer
I sharpen my tongue
And clip my nails
My weapons laid bare
For all to see
The prose I speak
Is meant to move mountains
Shift policies
Change laws
Tug hearts
Deafen my enemies
My words are all I have
And I will give them to you
Friend or foe
The Jolteon Nov 2014
The sound of dragging
Feet
Makes me think
Of buried dreams
Or
Dreams being buried

Loving little thoughts
That you send
Forging small responses
To wet your pen
Yes
The Jolteon Mar 2015
Yes
No
Nose
Knows
That
Toes
Know
But
Toes
Know
That
Nose
Knows
No?

Friends can feel like family

But they are also so much more

When your family isn't there

Sometimes only your friends are
The Jolteon Jul 2017
I just don't
Want to share
You with
Anyone

I need you
I want you
I think about you
Is that my fault?

Others treat you
Like you are nothing
And pass you around
Like it's a joke

That's why I stay
Inside
Don't let anyone
See me and you hide
This poem is about alcohol, take drinking seriously
The Jolteon Apr 2017
She say you love
To smoke **** with girls
Is that really my problem
All the Os and curls

All the smoke blown
Back into the air
Melts down my shoulders
And hardened glare

That some cutie
Is there with me
Splittin the pie
Is a plus in my eyes

If she wanna hate
On me blowin trees
Then please step aside
MJ only girl for me

As my hand ran down her leg
She blushed and turned her face
So many times we've been here
But after a few too many bars
A few too many lies
We're strangers again
Blushing at the touch
Of one another
Title taken from a CD title
The Jolteon Nov 2014
If family is the most important thing
Then why do you mock me
Why do you give life to obnoxious attitudes
Shutting down what little life I have
Where is the fire that I saw
What happened to all the pills they gave you
To shut you up and calm you down
What happened behind those white curtains
Were your dreams really to settle
To enter the same deal you had rejected
Running away to liquor
At least you breathed fire

If family is the most important thing
Then why did you leave yours
To live on an island with no bridge
To start a new life like the other didn’t exist

— The End —
