Rationalizing Newlywed
laura Dec 2018
When ivory eyes look up at me, they’re sunken my love,
I gaze down to a dozen roses sewn into my legs
give me your hot flash, like a woman’s retribution for her sins
how Mary is my savior, but know I only pray for your approval.
I put myself out here, for this?
the skylines, the honeyed bridge, of our young lover’s garden
that always gets me tingling in the summertime,
when you lay on my hands;
flatly pressed centre-ville, with contrast and curves and symmetry
you smell of cold cream and diamonds, blessed be my findings
of a strong godly woman, she's dominating my world.
