never dictate a
poem
around its title.

there's that crick in my neck I used to fish in and, that inch-full can of ginger-ale I left in the cup holder,
in the center console
of the car,
these last few nights.

let's swim in that.

I told you, I never understood physics,
and gathered up my skirt up,
climbed down the ladder.
Balance, you said
and extended your hand, it's all about your center of gravity.
I took that to mean you'd love me with my up's and down's,
but not my up's and down's,
and took your hand for stability,
and we went spinning.

I've been chasing the devil -
right on
down
Main Street
down to the docks
down the road we
walked
- didn't even know it.

It's a well known fact that no young girl can love until she learns to draw a perfect heart,

No one ever notices their nose hairs until they are too long.
The poems I post are sketches I never eturn to. I cannot even call them poens. Ive always found completing a poem to be a trouble as I am too careful with and never sure what I want to say
