Dance you fool.
Dance your mummer's dance
To the beat of hypocrisy.
Stamp your feet and
Sway your arms
Like they aren't being pulled
By strings of
False conviction.
Sing your jester's tune
And be fooled by
Our zealous swooning.
Take your bow
While we clap our fake clap
And cheer our fake cheer
And relish in it.
Bow like we can't see
The puppet-master
Grinning his raucous grin.
And when the curtain falls
And the cheering fades
And the lights dim
And it's only you
Standing in the dark on your
Stage of lies,
Dance your mummer's dance
Like we're all still watching.
