Believers vs believers
A sign of judgement day
Spilling the blood of mankind
That is what the Lord forbade

The one being slaughtered
Is clueless as to why
A brother is taking his life
And the murderer also does not know the reason for picking up a knife

The state of mankind
Is beyond ******* up to be repaired
Long gone are the times when strangers cared
Every night is in competition with another to becomes the darkest and wildest

Next of kin worried about inheritance
And spouses taking out life insurance claims
The soul is bruised
But on a shell is placed a band aid

Fine wining and dining
Abundance leftovers in the bin
Whilst the neighbour starves
As people frolic in sin

Slaves giving birth to masters
Power in the hands of wrong
And those buried six foot under
Are suddenly the lucky one's

Knowledge decreasing
And ignorance on the rise
We compete in the construction of the tallest building
And mothers abandon their children

Beauty pageants
And *** selling cars
The ship of the world sinks
In broad daylight

Yet we un-fasten our seatbelts
And live by ride or die
Yolo people
Get an intoxicated high on a traitorous life

A year passes like a month
And a month like a week
Nothing remains but a name
Humans who massacred humanity

So many look at life from the outside
And all the troubles that are wrought
Only seeing it in problems
Never focusing on God

But what I see are the miracles
That come in oh so clear
And number one on that list
Is the miracle we're still here

Everyone has a guardian angel
Looking out for you
Someone's prayers touched the heavens
Someone truly loves you

When the impossible is made possible
And hope comes out of the hopeless
A barren land bears fruit
And the bitter is made sweet

And it's a sweetness you can taste
As the miracles abound
Pouring blessings down from the heavens
Onto man's fertile ground

Horrible endings that brought new starts
The medical that came back clear
Tears of misery that end in laughs
Having all your family near

So count all of your blessings
Not your lucky stars
Because everyday in every way
These are miracles from God

Like shadows that glow in the faded night sky

You bring out the darkness

With whispers of verses unknown
carrying unyielding hope

Reeling in the emotions, which were once lost….long ago

I find my way

An awakening deep within

Stirring the senses of the forgotten heart

Pumping the elixir of life, within

The shadows of the unseen are fading away…

Replaced by soft skin a body now finally on display

You are the one who has been stripped from your body

And had your blood burn at the touch of firm hands

The bitterness of a tongue rained acid on your soul

You have battled for a few more hours and you can scream for a few more seconds

I’ve rescued you from the darkness,

All in vain…

             Death.

You held me in your arms for much too long.

I have a way out but…I refuse to leave.

I will battle against the world.

Love it has no order.

I'll serve and strive

With the life I have left

Until you leave me bereft

Or my breath leaves me

Like a fly trapped inside
Thwacking against a closed window
I'll try again just in case
Because I'm hoping it will be worth trying for
Numerous times thumping and sliding to the floor
That one in a trillion chance
Where this could be the gamble
And I would win
On the outside looking in
At closed doors
Or on the inside looking out
Open windows
Either way the grass
It always looks greener
From the lens of deception
Let's swap places
And reverse intentions

Come forward Ramadan
I await your arrival
The hearts are ill
And they need to be cured

Come and spread your joy
Of double rewards
As heavens doors open
And prayers are answered

Show me all I have to be thankful for
And help me think of the needy
Those who go without food or water for days
And yet still how my Lord provides

Come and show me
When Satan is locked away
Am I being tempted
Or are these sins force of habit

Ramadan come
And remind us of our purpose
Surround us with a humble atmosphere
Where brothers and sisters unite

Dawn till dusk
I will not simply starve
But be on my best behaviour
No foul language or thinking the worst of someone

I will join the congregation
At each and every prayer
Speak kindly
And spend more time with my family

In the month of God's mercy
I will try my best to please
Become a better person
And carry through these deeds

When on a bright summers day
A sudden chill catches you out
And you pull your clothes around tighter
Shot nerves
Like someone just walked over your grave
Or tried to ****** your soul
Eyes flutter back and forth
Like maybe someone is watching you
Then you shrug as though its paranoia
But the chill seeps into your bones
And like the flash of a camera
Just as you start to ponder
The deep and the meaningful
It's over

Trying to catch water
With your bare hands

You are the water droplets
In a place where it never rains

Of a glass only half full

Getting rid of the problem
And I would gladly drive
The karma bus
To show you how much worse it can get

Moans and complaints
A million and one times
But not once have I seen you
Trying to change

See the beauty in life
And capture it
Don't expect anything
And you won't take anything for granted
What you deem as an ordeal
Could be an adventure

Can you run this by me one more time
I'm still trying to understand
How nation can war against nation
Man fight against man

When did we become enemies
Of a race that is OURS
Was it when we made borders
Or created offensive words

Like third world countries
Where they are less economically developed
And we are proper civilisations
I see power and status with words there are connotations

Who drew the line to pit one another
The haves against the have nots
Shouldn't we draw on the happiness of what we have
Instead of wanting what others have got

Politics taking control
What they are doing is not socially understandable
So how can it be acceptable
When consequences are irrevocable

Leaving out what really matters
Thinking of us instead of everyone else
Taking the making of religion
From a worship of God to a worship of self

No more hospitals
No more schools
Long gone is law and order
What is justice
When there is no humanity

Look around you
All I see is blood that is red
Countries which are destroyed
On both sides of the fence

The blame is never on only one persons head
The problem goes much deeper than that
We'll keep on digging our way straight into hell
Which is soon all that we will have left

Freezing yourself
Is not the only way to live forever
Many people become donors
But I wonder
How many time's can a heart
Be recycled?
Because mine's has had enough to last me several lifetimes
I'll live through the circle of life
And be content to go to my Lord
With the vessel of my soul
In a state he bestowed

You're like a smooth rounded spoon
And I'm a knife with sharpened edges
You're like lego
Easily compatible with other pieces
And I'm the parts each sold separately
That too with batteries not included
You're the elegant
Turquoise, sapphire, terracotta and emerald
I'm just plain old green and blue
Running on fumes
You're full and vibrant of life
And I tarnish everything I touch
Confused and lost
You understand me
More than I understand myself
The way I don't know when to stop
And how I often pass the line of

And I push away everyone I've got
Because I hate being needy
I hate being weak

A pretty good one at that

Even thought that's a week away
But I just wanted something to say
And I know it's not fair
I can feel that I'm the tide that is too high
Sending mixed signals
So I give up
I let you loose
And I tell myself I don't miss you
I don't need you

I fear a day
When you'll sit next to me
And my phone will vibrate
A message from you asking what's for lunch?

I fear a day
When talented beings
Educated with graduate degrees
Will work in MacDonalds
For minimum wage

I fear a day
Where I'll need to take out a mortgage
For a parking fee
Daylight robbery

I fear a day
Where kids will no longer
Play at the park
No one ever heard of jigsaws
And wooden train sets

I fear a day
When strangers would be able to see
My every post
People I don't even know
Will know all about me

I fear a day
When people will drive to the gym
To run on the treadmill
And we'll all forget
The luminous glow of the moon

I fear a day
We'll forget about stars
And handwritten cards
When we'll care more about cars
Than our counterparts

I fear a day
When the world will all speak English
And read shakespeare
Wear the same high street gear
And eat KFC

I fear a day
Where honour and dignity
Respect and modesty
Will be a thing of the past
And those who hold steadfast
To their culture and traditions
Ways of life
Will be mocked and ridiculed as backwards

I fear a day
When all my fears
Come true
And that day a part of me will die inside
I'll lose the sound of your voice
And mums special home-made recipes with secret ingredients
I'll lose the way your letters felt
Slanted and joined so rounded together
The way the cross on the t and the dot on the i's leaned to hug one another
I'll lose the rush of the wind
As I felt how it was to fly on a swing
The reassuring touch on my back as you pushed and held me back then helped me to stop
I fear a day
I will breathe but cease to exist
Lost in mere memories of a past
Where I was meant to be

A place where everyone knows
One more day
Is not enough
And no one longs to go home
Because you don't have to close your eyes

You can count the feathers of a sparrow as it flies overhead
And tune your heartbeat to the pace of a hummingbirds wings
Faint to hear as the world melts away

It's a place where flowers
Need not be sacrificed
Plucked and shortened from life
All in the name of love

People give plants and seeds
Of trees that last a lifetime
Year on year colours will splash
And they forever will bloom

Springs of water
In individual gardens
Doves roam freely
And gnomes are all the safety a home needs

A persons tongue can give you
The taste of his heart
And there you will be bound
Dancing on the tip
Unfolding a mystery
Beauty beyond reason

Like a caterpillar cocooned
You shall too
Hatch out your shell
And I want to be there
As you heart furiously
Pumps blood
To watch you as your
Tightly enclosed wings
Come to life
Right before my very eyes
Balanced on the ledge

Self destruction
In a place where nothing is certain
When someone needs saving

The way you don't need anyone
The one's you needed are all gone
Your searching for someone to hate
Anything to make you feel something in change of nothing

You'd rather be alone
And spend your days drowning
Wondering the streets
Inhaling the smoke as it darkens the lightness of your soul

Everyone here is out for something
You no longer believe in genuine
They get paid to look after you
And the therapist gets paid to understand things that don't make sense

I woke up early morning
To a tapping on my window
A blue bird sitting on the sill
Asked what I was doing

Oh hey there lil bird
I'm spreading butter with a spoon
But keep it between me and you
There's a few other crazy things I do too

Like taking moon beams that I find on my floor
And putting them all in a jar
I'm saving them for something special
But as of yet I'm not really sure

I hug trees
And chase rainbows
Trace smiley faces in fogged up windows
I even glue googly eyes on my kettle and toaster so I don't feel alone

Tell me lil bird
I've always wondered
Are there creatures with wings
Scared to fly
Afraid of heights

And if there are do they go to social events
Like birds of a feather do
If they walk and don't fly
do they have to wait in a line
At the buffet for their food

Tell me of furry etiquettes and norms
Are you bound by rules
Of the kingdom of birds
Or are blue birds blue bloods

We had quite the conversation going on
My little tapping blue bird and me
That's when I opened the window spread my arms
and we were both gone
Flying away into the free

God came one day to Abraham
Saying Abe my son I have this plan
See all these stars up in the sky
To your kin folk I will give life

So Abraham being a righteous man
Had two sons all in Gods plan
But being old he and his wife couldn't wait
So he laid with a female slave

Miracles from above
Ishmael and Isaac grew up
But a test came for his love
God had asked for his trust

Hagar was left behind
As father and son travelled the dessert
Where he had been called to testify
How he could pioneer and turn to right
Bring civilisation to God's light

Now we all know the test was passed
Or we wouldn't be here today
Speaking of the saviours who brought us to God's way

From Abraham came his sons
The messengers forever honoured
In Christianity, Judaism and Islam
Jacob, Moses, Elijah and Jonah

Zechariyah, John, Soloman and Noah
From them came Jesus and Mohammed
So we say peace be upon them all
And peace be upon this world

United we stand
For our ancestors were one
From the same blood we began
For the same Lord we bow...

Sometimes there comes a time
When losses are absorbed
And grief becomes you
When you've given everything you've got
And there's nothing left
Not even the will to care
When you received nothing in return
You continued to give because you never learn
And when you rub your eyes
No more are the stars and colours you used to see
It's been a long time since
You bowed your head
Said a prayer
And are still weathering the storm
Now only heavier
Because you've soaked up the rain
And carried a little piece of everyone's secrets
Burdens and shames
You were there when it all went wrong
And now you're barefoot
On a cold winters night
Where the lines between determination
And desperation got blurred
Left craving for something that is everything to hold onto

Fighting hell
And wearing it like an armour

I've never heard

The intoxication of coloured springs
Gives life a whole new perspective
If ever heaven exists
I would vouch for it's presence

Beyond what the eyes can see
Are hearts with twin beats

That longs to be alive

I would risk being called mad
But never a scent was smelt
Never did you want or need
Never were you ever so afraid

A soul that willingly submits
A veil surrounds those it befits
A warmth; a caress
Dare you call it anything less

A presence that can barely be felt

Changing the topic of discussion
I see guilty
When you raise your voice and get irritated

Receipts are gone missing
And you stay out longer than expected
Douse yourself in aftershave
Sometime you seem nervous

Maybe I'm curious
Or it could be suspicion
Speaking from experience
Your lack of answers are not helping

Where to go from here
I'm just waiting on the evidence
For what my heart already believes

I want to make you fit
In my poems
With perfect rhymes
Short and sweet
But there's nothing poetic about
Haunted eyes
That pierce the soul
Cold and calculating
I could tell
They had seen things
Not meant to be seen
I know I was there
I remember it all too well
So tell me about your past
And I'll tell you about my scars
We'll tell each-other like the future is ours
And make poetry out of silence
Atmospheres that can't be explained
A comfortable presence
That does not need to be over-complicated with words

A human controversy

Burnt like a lamp

With all great highs

Spiritual highs
Are the worst crashes

All or nothing guilt trips
Each sin
A fine line between
Good and bad

Right and wrong
Actions contradicting beliefs
And emotions against behaviour
They're all stacked up

Human turmoil
When the right things feel wrong
And the wrong things feel right
The devil is messing you up inside

It's so hard to walk away
Inner struggle everyday
When you want to give up
And not care

Do what you want
Deal with the consequences later
Until one day you sit and wonder
How did I end up so far

So distant from God
He was everything in my heart
And after chasing what I want
I let go of what I needed

Empty space
A gaping hole
Discontent
And self-loathe

It's a long climb
Trekking back down that road
With a blot on your past
Knocking on the forgiveness door

The love
For this nurture to life
Can be bent
But never broken

So you strayed
Got lost along the way
Separated
But you found your way back

On the straight path
Passed the test
And you're stronger for that
You're future is still spotless

Child don't you know
God loves you even more
His mercy is endless

True love and acceptance

A mercy and a blessing

The people as a whole
The people of unity
The people of solidarity
The people want security
We want free education
Or at least affordable fees
We want a future
Un-burdened by debt
Jobs to be created
We want equality
Diversity
Privacy
The people want
Peace
Say no to war
We want safety on the streets
The people want stability
We want prosperity
The people want honesty
From political parties
We don't need global *******
We don't want weapons of mass destruction
We the people
Want back the dream
Give us back the right to dream
Or make it so that
The dream would be inadequate
Because with eyes wide open
Dreams would be alive
