Her
Sometimes
I catch you
Thinking of her
I know it's her
Because of the way you
Lean your head back
And close your eyes
The barest hint of a smile
As though the air
Lingers with a fragrance
You remember
A song catapults
You into memories
I was not apart of
Like in a trance
You reach out to trace your lips
That is the calmest
I have ever seen you
She was good for you
I can tell
Her success was your happiness
And yours is mine
And sometimes
Would you believe it if I said
I wish you still had her
Because you were better together
Than this companionship of ours
