Nothing calls for morals, like lovers’ quarrels
Though all is fair in love and war
I have one law, for all clenched jaws
Don’t fight in metaphor

“You’re always the martyr” one may brand the other
In passive aggressive verse
Mere iteration, through metaphorical filtration
That truly reveals the reverse

Here’s one I despise, that utters love’s demise
“Honey, the door swings both ways”
It’s an image projected, of love infected
Spat in pseudo poetic haze

It’s a double edged blade that ought to be stayed
Though a wonderful figure of speech
It does not pay, to duel this way
Nay it is to love, but a leech

You say you're crazy
Well, I'm crazier
I'm absolutely insane
For being with someone like you.

You're crazy because you don't know what God is
You're crazy because you don't believe your dreams can come true
You're crazy because you're afraid of your thoughts
Because what you're thinking makes your life and I've told you that a million times

I'm crazy because I have no idea who you are.
Yet I love every inch of you.
How can anyone else know who you are?
Enter my mind, my spirit is waiting.

If you could read my thoughts, boy would I be scared.
I'd be scared you will not be able to understand my passion.
How I am giving you everything I have.
And you want me to talk more.

I want to speak with my eyes, my mouth, my hands.
Don't make me make sounds that have no meaning in another world.
I want you to feel my love through my energy.
Notice how our hearts beat at the same time.

You say you're crazy
Well I'm crazier
Because in this moment
Kissing you is all I can think of.

halfway to infinity,
three quarters 'round the sun,
one of the many things she said to me
after she was gone
she said that's where you'll find me, love,
and breathed a slow slow smoke
halfway to infinity,
love, that's where i'll be
and with her words
her strange, strange words
she only could confuse me
and her charcoal lips would smile
as she said such strange and unreal things
yet paradoxically wrong, they sounded
or maybe halfway right.
right, i'd say, and where is that,
halfway round the sun and moon?
you'll find it someday, silly love,
but i can't tell you how.

halfway to infinity, she said,
three quarters round the sun,
i wish i knew what she meant by that
for now she's dead and gone

Some very good friends sat around in their basement
I think we've all been here before
The room of course was smokey and wasted
The four buddies were bored right out of their gourds

They all thought they should do something special
So they decided to build a rocket ship
Throwing a bunch of old plywood together
They then sat around, smoked some more, and planed their spacey trip

Jody spoke up first and said let's go to the moon
But they'd heard that had already been done
That's when he came up with the brightest idea
I know what!  We'll go to the sun!

Go to the sun?!  We may be high but we're not crazy!!
They replied, this ships made out of wood
That's when Jody explained his brilliant idea
Nodding like Bobble Head dolls they all understood

As Jody dug deeper into his intricate plan
All the guys seemed to like it a lot
They would go when it's dark in the middle of night
When the suns put out and it isn't so hot

Since Jody's the genius, they put him in charge
He seems to have a grasp on what's left of his brain
There were four of them but only room for two
They drew straws 'cause they were having difficulty remembering their names

The straws turned out to be the same length
Cutting them, somebody forgot
So they picked Jody as their Captain Kirk
And Jason as his sidekick Spock

Out in left field, the excitement was contagious
Jody yelled, 'To infinity and Beyond'
They knew that quote came from some famous movie
But had a memory lapse so they gave him more Bobble Head nods

At that point they realized they had no engine
Being impaired, not a one of them cared
They all went back down into the basement
And took another kind of trip without going anywhere
Title says it all
You lost

Game Over

Thanks for playing
Hope you have a whole in your chest
Put one in your head too
Just so it will match
I played you like a fool
I never loved you
Simply because you weren't worth it
You got too close
You slipped and let your guard down
So its game over for you
In this unpredictable game of Life and Love
My dear old friend
Who was beautiful in her way
She never knew who to depend
But then she found me and may

It was in the 4th grade when we met
Happy little kids we were
And we still are,I bet
Just want to make sure

Last saturday I was busy
While she was home,
She was breathing
Not sure if she was alone

That night was filled with tragedy
No words can explain
It was very badly
I was filled with pain

Now she is part of the stars at night,
One of the clouds in the day
Who ever killed her at the fight
I promise you .......... they will pay
This is dedicated to friend Cynthia also known as Ashely, who sadly passed away last saturday 3-9-13 R.I.P Cynthia I love you and wished we had spent more time

Antelope
Her hair smelled of the sweetest fruit and fell on snow white skin
Her lips he wanted to devour, they were so soft and thin
He gazed into her eyes so blue; like deep caves of sapphire
And saw her soul so pure and true, dancing deep inside her
She gave a coy smile, his heart skipped, a beat never returned
She felt his joy envelop her, and of his love she learned.
She threw her arms around his head and laughed a seraph's song
She gazed intensely through his soul and then their loves were one.
My lover asks me:
"What is the difference between me and the sky?"
The difference, my love,
Is that when you laugh,
I forget about the sky.
