PoetWhoKnowIt
Fantastically fashioned fingers,
  running smoothly through hair;
past present post-
  Father Time struck by Sand Man's stare.

Heavenly hanging hair,
  draping gently over lips;
tantalizing teasing tendrils-
  Aphrodite's mien, Venus' hips.

Lusciously loving lips,
  smiling softly at wandering eyes;
delirious delighted daze-
   Pyramus and Thisbe's kiss--butterflies.

Efficaciously effervescent...
  enchantingly endearing...
    enticingly euphoric...
      exultantly excited...
[Simply] ethereal! Eyes,
  diamonds, starlight, life, of Earth, sky, and sea;
bejeweled boundless bless'ed-
   If thou were Medusa, stone I'd be so readily.

Simply said Shakespeare,
  thou art the sun;
falsely framed fairness-
  for the sun is not brightest,
    tis You tis You,
      my wonderful, beautiful One.

Chuck Town

Chuck
Such a place exists, I kid you not
It's a paradise deep in the SC
I imagine it was named just for me
The buildings are exquisitely adorned
Row after Rainbow Row, stunning, the lot
Drenched in history of two wars
Ghosts haunt the Holy City at night
May haunt it myself when the time is right
Fresh seafood to honest Southern soul
The delicacies are among its many lures
Chuck Town may be my Eldorado
Not mythical but shrouded in golden treasures
I couldn't dream up a more idealistic setting
It's as if it were erected and named for me

Traveler
Cold-hearted world
Nobody seems to care
I held you so tightly
When I was once there...

How this emptiness
Quiets your voice
Drier than dry
A love once moist...

I'm lost in darkness
Without your glow
I grasp for your light
With borrowed soul...

The storms of our life
strikes the earth
They blow away anything
Just anything
But not as strong to  anchor solidly
not too strong to stand against the wind
Find shelter in him
Do we not?
Flooded with thoughts and emotions
and we can drown in them
Do find shelter and bow down to His decree,
We are cleaner than before
Storms expose our vulnerabilities and weaknesses,
giving us a chance for redemption
Storms so often attack our pride the greatest
The storm gives us a chance
to humble ourselves before our Creator
There is a way to have peace during and after the storm
That peace lies in submitting to As-Salaam.
Just as storms change the landscape of the earth,
our hardships change the landscape of the heart.

a home i'm going to
did i leave behind another?

             (4)
hardens my belief
i'm coming from nowhere
going to nowhere.

            (5)
in wind's embrace
hear it whisper
traveler seek no purpose.

won't stop
till the end of day
come what may.
all it takes is 250 miles and a few breaks in between
