We rarely just act
Instead we ask, what if?

What if I say something wrong
What will happen
To the road I walk upon?
Will my journey start cracking?

What if I take the day off?
Will I lose my job?
Will I be palmed off?
I don't want to be stuck as a slob

Now I'd like to say
Don't stress on these "what ifs"
Send them on their way
The only if you should think upon
Is whether you'll wake for another day

You may never get another chance
If your worried about what might happen
Instead of taking action

Live like there is no tomorrow
For there is no time you can borrow
Take it while you have a chance
Live, love life and advance

Have you noticed
Everything that goes by
It all goes so fast
Soon enough we all say "Goodbye"

Time just slips away
Moments just disappear
Barely remember day by day
Back in time we try to peer

The sounds of time
So loud yet unheard
The tick tocking rhyme
Like the whistles of a bird

As fast as days go
Take in all the little things
Enjoy everything as you grow
For time forever shall sing

The Mind Arcs
To Hit The Mark

I keep coming to one question
One that sends me through illusion
Why did I close that door
It keeps burning me straight to the core

I tell myself its for the best
But in the end I keep ending in a mess
Stirred up, turned over, twisted aside
Stung deep feeling parts of me have died

Maybe one day I'll stand upon this pain
But until that day my eyes continue to rain

A leaky heart
With every beat
Hastens its own end

What does a shattered person
See in a shattered mirror

Temple of my heart
Reaching for a hand
United with another
Slowly ripped apart
Torn in pieces forever

To love oneself
Is the act of
Opening ones heart

Freedom resides in my dreams

Why is it so hard,
To call out their name?
Ask just one question,
Would you join me on this train?

Let each other know
That dark tunnels will be met,
But let each understand
That hand in hand you'll be set.

Maybe this the reason
We're scared of the rough.
