palavra à noite cantada
co'a manhã se desfaz
em palavra granulada:
matinal achocolatado.

Já não sente a poesia
tal qual ressoara clara
na madrugada alta

- Et pourtant, fala!

Será a escrita fogo fátuo?
marca gravada em gado,
ou cardo na sua pata?

(O poeta-boi rumina
mas não é vaca sagrada).

Estrela cadente, cabala:
meros fogos de artifício
ruidosos melros da fala:
na calma manhã se calam.

Wild Javelina
Dawn King Feb 2015
The pit in the ground was dug
Then they came
A troop of wild javelina
Boasting their wares
The circle was drawn
From deep within the soil
As they danced in revelry
And the salts were cast
Into the air
Each granule dancing
With jubilation
From its blessing
Before reaching its
Final destination
Locking in the wild javelina
Paving way for the work
Before all Gods
They took their wares
Consecrated goblets
From the netherworlds
And held them to the skies
As they were filled
With rain of fine wines
The javelina crafted Cabala
Well into the night
Filling the pit
With the exalted wines
Moments before sunrise
The javelina dove
Into the pool of wines
To the center of all things
Profound things screaming at insanity
These words have no meaning
My mind breaks
Unable to even move
In catatonic despair
And  then…
when my eyes are tired and my soul is a worn husk
Awake at three in the morning watching videos of steel drummers
On the tired ends of some desperate baffling nightmare
The same motifs recurring endlessly over and over
Recursively storming through the gallows and nether winds of some unmentionable quivering fury
And at the precise moment where all Is lost and all is at your finger tips
the words poured out like buckets of rainwater on the side walks of the throng trembling masses
a primeval cro-magnon scumbag alive and well with a post modern kick
a lone star cupid with nothing to win
the bop kebab pop cabala flanks me at every turn
and the Jesus lizard shrinks beneath the weight of crushing globalism
as the world sits back and laughs
