Why does life
Destroy all the good
But leave all the bad
Why

Why does life
Take away the people that have meaning in this world
But leave all the ****** bags
Why

Why does life
Put so much darkness in the world
That you can barely see the light
Why

Life is a game
That only the lucky can win
Life isn't supposed to be easy
So we need to be strong

We need to show life
That we're just pieces in it's game
Yes, we will play but still lose
But this time, we won't give in

Head floating.
Thump thump
Thumping in your head.
Thump thump
You can feel every breath
Inhale
Dragging down your throat
Exhale
Each one a different texture
Inhale
Soft and cool, slipping down
Exhale
Climbing up, pushing out
Inhale
Your chest a vast cavern
Exhale
And every nerve attentive
Thump thump
Not being able to speak
Should I?
Nothing is important enough to say
Is it?
You are amplified and too focused
Am I?
Every thought decaying
Thump thump
You can feel the pieces falling
Thump thump
Making your heart quiver
Thump thump
And it goes on for hours
Thump thump
Which seems like years

Thump thump
And you can't hide your fears

Thump
They focus on you

Thump
And latch onto you

Thum
They love you

Thu
Don't let them go

Th
You need them

T
And they

.
need you.
Amara Pendergraft 2013

I had a very bad night, yesterday, due to poor decision making.
I paid for it in many different ways.
a few more years
and ill full-fill her fears
and gain a uniform
some country i  will storm

the only reason to stay
has now gone away
i used to want to be
her's, now i want free

not me to be free no
but for her to be so
i want to protect her freedom
so where ever i may roam

i hope she finds a home
to be herself, a home
for her to be free
and so she will forget me

since i am not her taste...
:/ what you guys think

Drinking from the fountain as the distant shadows pour
Remnants of a feeling that has passed beyond the trees
Leaves amass in piles of an amber flavored tint
Engulfing all that I can now conform myself to see

Shaded in the mystery that wraps about your smile
Clinging to the aftermath that still has yet to flow
Reaching for the volume titled “anywhere but here”
Drunk within the answers that my heart is soon to know

In a splash the difference does wash my pleading skin
Cleansing in the daylight dance of silence on the square
Marching bands so far away yet cymbals break the sound
Tempo’d to my nightly dreams that always find you there

In of every morning as the words jump from the screen
Waiting on a sandy beach this cup of flavored grins
Beckoning my tired eyes to wake before the sight
As a new day breathes a sigh and once more does begin
i am older than i look

younger than i feel

with only death ahead of me

to finalize and seal the deal
Death stands above me, whispering low
I know not what into my ear:
Of his strange language all I know
Is, there is not a word of fear.
