This is my epitaph written in humility:
few are my words--I'm enriched by
nothing more than the glory of poetry
I count it such a blessing to happily die.
Elevated feelings and emotions
spiced with exaggerated sentimentality
are mere convenient contraptions
hardly do such count as good poetry
The heart's sincerest simplicity and purity
is the starting point of fine poetry.
* qv  read the letters of John Keats
Life's greatest poignancy and tragedy
could not be mirrored through the pages of prose
only in the immediacy of poetry's sublimity
a common flower is not the same as a rose
The poet may not be the world's legislator*
but what he expresses touches the core of every matter
* qv  Shelley
Poetry
       is the heart's religion
       humanity
       abides in its sacred region.
Respect at all times Mother Nature
      you can't substitute for another
In the want of nothing
the person has attained the best thing.
Lend a ready hand to someone in need
in this you have planted compassion's very seed.
