When my thoughts wander,
They often scrape the past
And how things used to be
A longing for old things to return
Or at least for a chance when things seemed simpler
But other times, thoughts dwell on the future
As I concern myself with making sure
That all is set and prepared for the next step
And sometimes, I wonder what I’m doing
Wasting all of this time, here and there
When it is only beneficial to live right now
Because it is the only thing that is in between
Yesterday and tomorrow
The common bridge is all that we need
To get from one side to the other
Written July 9, 2009 while exploring topics for a 2nd book. I felt the topic of relationships was over-done for me, and have had trouble consistently writing since that first book was published in 2009.

Numbness eats through my soul
I feel her toxins in my veins
solidifying and immobilizing me
In deep sleep I'm falling through
Apathy is oh so popular
Wishing never accomplishes
Neat death is slowly slipping
I see her countenance once again
This is it, I am dead
Wait
A slight brush on my cheek
Your sweet touch wakes me

The wind too has a story
Blowing from east to west
North to South
Seen it all but still blows all the same
Clearing the streets
Messing the streets

Cursed, Blessed
But it never stops blowing because
That's what its meant to do
Blow us happy
Blow us hysterical

Oh! How i could blow with the wind
Find you in your hiding
Blow you up happy
Blow you up crazy for me again

I'd refresh you with my cool breeze
Make a deal with the sun and the clouds
Blow you up cool on a hot day
blow you up warm on a cold day
Whatever the cost make you smile

If i were the wind
I'd clear all your cares and burdens
All your regrets
Mess you up with my pure love for you
Blow you you up content, restful, joyous

Just if i were the wind i would whistle in the chimney tops
Asong of mine true love
Lost but found
Make the whole world know
i am no ordinary wind
I am a freshly found breeze
In this climatic change heat
A wind of hope and love again
I am the wind
Hi friends! I hope you like this poem of mine and feel free to give advice:) thanks

Is it odd to believe in fairy-tale love?
Is it impossible to achieve it?
If I told you I had found it
Would you believe it?
To me it wouldn't matter,
If you chose to believe me or not,
Because I know and he knows we're special;
Fairy-tale love is what we've got.
Separated by a hundred miles of concrete
And no car to travel the distance,
But he kisses me everyday.
The "how" doesn't make a difference.
We never go to sleep angry
Even if we're up all night
Most of that time's spent reminiscing
Or dreaming of what the future'll be like
Puppy love is what some people call it
But we're not naive to love's pains
We're finding a happily ever after
With whatever pages of it remains.
Aggressive insertions
to be deserted.
No quaint Notions
could act as potions.

So it be...
To matter we are pinned,
along with questions why.

There are no definitive answers for you here;
and really
if you truly knew,
maybe then you'd sadly say,
"Maybe things were better off
just the way they were."

What ever you do,
Don't Ask Questions: Why?

Up towards down through right and left,
Just walk around to catch a breath.
Now grab the wind
and scratch the sky.
Just live your life,
until you die.
Blank white walls are the norm
or beige,
which is worse.
We're not happy.
We want red.
Rough brush strokes and drips.
Splotches and mistakes.
Complete and total exposure.
I was in love with anatomy
the symmetry of my body
poised for flight,
the heights it would take
over parents, lovers, a keen
riding over truth and detail.
I thought growing up would be
this rising from everything
old and earthly,
not these faltering steps out the door
every day, then back again.

On the edge of the sea
so deep and blue
Like everything and nothing
like your words and how I read them
Like your wandering eyes,
away from me that is,
until I'm adorned
Adorned in extravagance
then I'm "beautiful"
I found you in the darkness
and that's where we stayed
Stuck in the shadows of after midnight,
tangled up in each other not wanting to let go
Or so it felt
The soft light of morning touched my skin
and now I'm toxic
So until the sun sets again...
