The lizard approached
the beautiful tree..
made his play
you might say.
Started to climb
with such glee
intentioned to stay
all the day.
He then went limp
down he fell.
What had happened
no one could tell.
He was checked out
when he lost his function.
Found to have
a dreaded problem..
    ... called...
Reptile Dysfunction.

The Lizard might have
stopped to See Alice
before the charge or his friend
Viguana.

Watching too much TV
I need help!!!
The blind man sees with fingertips
Kisses his wife with his lips
Hugs his children in his warm embrace
Never will he see a face

He knows the steps through the house
Cannot see it ,but can hear a mouse

He walks in darkness all the time
At times I think he sees more than  I

Not limited by what he sees
The man who can hear the falling leaves.
Hopfully everyone likes it,

Yes just being honest
I cant write poems in the way that most of you can
I'm pretty much self educated
so forgive the errors in punctuation and prose
I write as I see and feel,
nothing fancy.
My very first poem on this site (Tranquillity)
was written while sat on rocks overlooking the sea
That is how I write. No sitting down with capacious notes
and a week to make it sound right
No thats not my way, not what I do
I just write as the words fill my mind
Give me a subject, I'll give you the words
But please never mock what I write
I do my best in this wonderful place
Please understand what you've read

Perched high on a crag,
                                legs poised to spring,
hearts beating wildly
as we take to the wing
catching warm thermals,
                                                   to float on thin air,
         taking breath quickly,
                                            hardly any to spare
   Now is the time,
                     wings spread out wide
                             a smooth operation,
                        to bank as we glide.
Flowing the motion,
as fluidity is key,
we land, we devour,  for Vultures we be…

Endangered Species

Rüppell’s Vulture or Rüppell’s Griffon Vulture (Gyps rueppellii) is a large vulture that occurs throughout the Sahel region of central Africa. The current population of 30,000 is decreasing due to loss of habitat and other factors. Rüppell’s Vulture is named in honour of Eduard Rüppell, a 19th-century German explorer, collector, and zoologist. Rüppell’s Vulture is considered to be the highest-flying bird, with confirmed evidence of a flight at an altitude of 11,300 m (37,000 ft) above sea level.

I don't care anymore
About long held childhood dreams
Just give me my fields and my forests
Or a rocky perch o'er looking the sea
It's in such places that I can gather my thoughts
And write the words in my mind
Its in such places that I can get lost
Forget the rest of mankind
Here in the solitude away from turmoil
Here my mind is at rest
The smell of the pine trees or the sound of the waves
Tis in such a place you can lay down and rest

Take a look around you
Tell me what you see
Another day of turmoil
Or a day to set you free

Take a look around you
At what this earth has got to give
At what it has to offer
So that you and I can live

Take a look around you
And decide which path to choose
Only you can make the choice
If you win or if you lose

Take a look around you
At this green and pleasant land
But will it still be here for our kidx
When we are not around

Take a look around you
At the destruction man can cause
When he subjects this fair land
To industrial abuse

Take a look around you
Think about what you could achieve
If you truly cared for this fair land
If you have the courage to believe

Take a look around you
LETS SAVE WHAT WE'VE GOT LEFT
Of a land so full of beauty
Don't condemn this earth earth to death
