If one breath could put out the flame of a candle,
set full ablaze by the fire in your eyes
Let me not breathe any more than is needed,
expressing affection in soft whispered sighs

Basking within every gleam it is sharing,
here as we’re nearing the end of the day
Praying it burns till the morning sun rises,
showing your smile in its perfect display

For as the shadows of night are approaching,
bringing the heavens a darkened embrace
I shall be using the light of this candle,
to shine it’s glow on your beautiful face
this is the moon's
quiet rose, the unfolding
of the clouds, tranquility
resting her head,
the beautiful sea.
