‘Twas upon a moonlit night in July,
That I saw thee long ago,
Thy silvery aura caught mine eyes,
With an enchanting full-orbed glow.

The flowing light from the fragrant beams,
(Though no wafting wind dared carry it,)
Scented the heavens,
And perfumed my dreams,
(Whilst every star failed to catch it.)

Silent siren songs,
Awakening me from my slumber,
Thy soul sung to me,
A smiling tune alike no other.

A pair of perfect lovers is what we are,
And silver and golden lights dance for me,
As I stand here to admire thee from afar.
Each to our respective titles we remain true,
And as the years pass,
Though the brilliance doth not fade,
I still love you.
I wrote this when I was 14 years old, before any real relationship experiences. I've always been a hopeless romantic and often daydreamed of someone who I would call my "Perfect Love." I wanted an honest relationship based upon respect, loyalty, and trust; a relationship free of jealousy and shame. Everyone told me that my expectations were too high and that things like that don't exist outside of fairytales. Years later, I have found my "Perfect Love."
Patrick Hanlon V, I wrote this before I met you, but you are the one I dreamed of all this time. This poem is dedicated to you, it always has been.

I could sit here all night with you, you know.
Eating cold noodles from the little Chinese place off 9th and… that street that starts with an A that I keep forgetting.
Blinking at the red neon that says Open, and laughing at the sign on the door that’s translated really,
really badly.
You point to it every time, but it’s getting old. just by the way.
And you insist on taking a pair of chopsticks, even though you can’t use them for crap,
just like you **** at pool. the table is not slanted, you’re just sad you’re not good at everything.
**** it, you are.

I could sit here all night with you, making up constellations with the few stars we can see,
ones we’ll call inappropriate names just to hear you snort.
and pretend we can walk through moving cars and not die like humans,
the disgusting things.
I’ll hold your fingers but not your hands because they’re covered with soy sauce,
and we’ll ignore the 5’ 1’’ noodle shop lady yelling at us because we’re being too loud
and scaring away customers.
Who comes to eat lo mein at 3 in the morning anyway?

I'll stay if you do.

It's nothing too big, but it's been bothering me: Should I leave the very last line italicized, or regular? thanks, guys. :)
I have tried many things, to catch the sunlight’s liquid glow
A ray of morning, I once thought I embraced
Where all smoothness flowed upon my own plateau
I closed my eyes
Felt it brush across my face

I found a shining beam, peeping through an apple tree
Yet when I climbed up to hold it close
It left my hands in exile and I could no longer see
The very thing
I wanted the most

So I turned my fondest eyes, up into the glorious skies
Opened up my heart to catch the glow
To this very day I hold liquid sunlight here inside
You can see it when I smile
Then you will know

Flower Scent
a misty reflection
in the mirror
of  life

a fragile shadow
on  the wall
of boundaries

a deep echo
in the tunnel
of thoughts

a soft whisper
in  the voice
of dreams

a broken emotion
in the beat
of hearts

a flashback
in  nightmares
of death

a roller coaster
in  the subconscious
of minds

a thunder storm
in  dilemma
of souls

a water mark
in  the  shade
of light

an immersion of words
in a baptism
of truth

an ultraviolet ray
in a shattered prism
of glass

a moonless sky
in presumption
of total eclipse

a tempting apple
in the garden
of forbidness

a holy angel
in   dark joy
of sacred sin

an ardent paramour
in fervent yearning
of passion

a jealous lover
in distruction
of love

a stop watch
in the beginning
of time

a deep crack
in the crust
of  the earth

an earthquake
in the seizmic core
of hot lava

a forest path
in a wild  jungle
of tamed lions

a gold circle
in waterfalls
of a crazy affair

a wave of trust
in the vast ocean
of betrayal

a soften glacier
on the bedrock
of seperation

a chequers game
in bereavement
of a king

a monopoly
in the loss
of forever

a white swan
in the well
of a lake

a weeping petal
of a daisy
in last goodbye

a new today
in yesterday's
tomorrow

a big question mark
on the edge
of destiny.

Kobayashi Issa
Don't worry, spiders,
I keep house
casually.
Mountains stand, yet only view, others as gusts of rain
Yet a dream stands there in silence
Even in this time our hearts can ascertain
It is here we can find our balance

There are footsteps seeking out tomorrow’s fountains
Shining golden in their quest
That look up into the faces of these mountains
With silent dreams which never rest

To return to their homes, there is never any thought
When they see the gentle leaving of day
Feather across the peaks, when the eve is sought
Taking one more step along the way

There is blood on the sandals and gold in the hearts
Of the dreamers who quests are ascertained
Mountains stand
Viewing others as one side apart
While silent dreams, become much more
Than gusts of rain
