Watching autumn leaves
fall gently
from a poetry tree
I smile catching the one
that spoke your name

Some people come into your life
without a sound
but they create music
when they are around you,
never let them go.

It’s not your achievements that define your success;
it’s the authenticity of your actions
and the character of your soul

If you make them feel irrelevant,
don't be surprised when they walk away

You only exist
when others breathe life into you,
and that is no existence at all.

"how are you feeling today"

holding in the darkness
a paper candle

I race to fall asleep with you
to meet you in the morning
a little more in love each day

build a dream
and then you dream about it

When my eyes breathe you in
my lips breathe out your name

Touch me again
in hidden places
only your soul can reach

The best kind of someone
is the someone who makes
you believe in you

For as long as I write,
I can hear the sadness
of unfinished sentences,
unexplained feelings deeply...

Some of you would argue
with a brick wall
just so you could keep arguing

Basking in the glow
from the light
of your soul

Replace
“ What is happening to me” ?
with “ What is this trying to teach me “?

It is a delicacy of the heart,
to make you feel
that you are valuable to a person...

Some of us isolate to recharge
Not everyone will get that

Sometimes I’m the entire universe
and other times I’m just an odd collection of silences
and screams strung together with an honest heartbeat

Sometimes the best thing
to look forward to is
just your favorite someone

Life isn't as easy as letting go of those who make you sad,
it's about letting go of those who once made you the happiest

Hearts which heal the hurting
and restore the broken aren’t the strongest,
they are the bravest...

Life simply isn’t about positivity and kindness.
That’s naive.
We have to be prepared to negotiate suffering
and deal with dark times and difficult people.

The thing I am most grateful
for is that when my heart broke,

Rain hitting the roof

I just sit quiet and observe how the grasses sway and the birds play hide & seek amidst them,
I stand and observe how clouds change shape, how out of nowhere wind touches me, how my grief melts, my lips smile, my life blooms
