                                                     then gone

Constant flowing imagination
creation, frustration, hesitation

freedom

subsiding
rain came clear beyond
this cliff of addiction

Who knows, motion
beautiful mistake
mislead confusion
finding rise

Drugs, keep em coming
Escape, Abuse, Release

The show must go on,
no matter how heartless,
               mindless,
         brainless,
    caged
chained..

My name
Is something of a
Revelation.
And maybe I'll
Never understand, but
Dance naively,
Acceptingly.
Day after day you're
critiquing, pulling apart
anguishing over pointless details

You scold, you demand
your silent booming voice is ugly
never stops reverberating between my ears

Torture and twist
even after they tell me,
"You look sick"

You paint cold purple
streaks up and down my skin
You deny me time and time again

Each rib has been counted
scrutinized through my skin-
but it is never enough in your eyes

I feel insane, wishing I could
scream and shout
out of my head to drown you out

Today I love you
as you're an old friend
Tomorrow I hate you
as you put me through hell again

I've tried to silence you
yet I always give in
ending up in my own prison.
My head knocks against the stars.
My feet are on the hilltops.
My finger-tips are in the valleys and shores of
     universal life.
Down in the sounding foam of primal things I
reach my hands and play with pebbles of
     destiny.
I have been to hell and back many times.
I know all about heaven, for I have talked with God.
I dabble in the blood and guts of the terrible.
I know the passionate seizure of beauty
And the marvelous rebellion of man at all signs
     reading "Keep Off."

My name is Truth and I am the most elusive captive
     in the universe.

I am the crinkled corner of your lips when you smirk
The freckles on your nose blessed by the Earth
I am the glowing glint in your green eyes
Lighting up my bedroom by no surprise
I am the shiver running through your nervous bones
The raindrops on your windowsill when you’re all alone
I am the warmth in the summer breeze
Twisting through your knotted blonde locks with ease
I am the soft hand tickling your rosy cheeks
The angelic whisper singing you to sleep
I am breakfast for dinner after an endless work day
The warmth of your sheets begging you to stay
I am the lost melody to your old, favorite song
You listen to in your car with the windows rolled down
I am the sweet honeydew sprinkled on maple leaves
A springtime pleasure patched at the sewn seams
I am the peace you search for within
But for peace to initiate you need faith to begin.

Before I saw you,
I thought that angels didn't exist.
Before I saw you,
I thought that hope was just a empty word, with a meaning that was ripped out of the dictionary in my mind.
Before I saw you,
I was lost, confused, wandering off the road that everyone at least, seemed to be on,
Seemed to know what a road was,
Even if they were on the "wrong one" as my preschool teacher used to call it but I think I was the only one who raised my hand in class and said-
"Teacher! That doesn't make sense!"
Before I saw you,
Music was just notes on paper,
Something for me to hum and string along on the viola.
Before I saw you, stories were just stories,
And not keys to worlds beyond my fairest imagination.
Before I saw you,
The key to the word "love" was locked
Thrown somewhere on a ***** train track that you fearlessly went on and saw and you brought the key back to me saying with a smile on your smudged face
"Here. I think this is yours."
Before I saw you,
I think I was just living life for the sake of living, just eating for the sake of surviving,
Just studying for the sake of pride,
Until I met you.
When I met you,
The world had color.
A fierce rouge for sunset and lipstick for women
a dark hue that wasn't exactly "black as night" as they called it
A gleaming, neon green that was the color of the hideous jumpsuit you wore for track just once
When I met you,
The word myself had a different meaning, and the broken dictionary that was in my mind fell apart.
When I met you,
I learned the meaning of catching all the Pokémon in the game Pokémon Emerald that I always borrowed, but never returned, but you didn't care, did you?
(Oh look the word Pokémon is in spell-check)
When I met you-
I learned how to write poems-
Mainly because you dragged me to that poetry writing class that you always went to.
When I met you,
I thought, beautiful
Infallible
Unbreakable
**Until the day when you left me
Here alone in the dark.

Noname
Of ****
It's that feeling
that you can't quite describe
That pit in your stomach
that keeps swirling around
Like a cat chasing its tale
Urmm this is what I live for
I love it
But i hate it
The anticipation
The fantasies
It's so much more fun too build up
Your going to have too hold me down
*** i'm flying through my imagination
Thinking of the possiblities
They're endless
A stranger
Yet someone I've seen a thousand times before
I've lost myself to fiction
Somewhere between
Peter Pan and Cinderella
I can't control my movements
I'll jump in excitement
Over a simple thought of us brushing against eachother
As we pass by
Nervous yet Invigorated
What will this unveil?
The first step is towards the door,
Then two steps back this way.
You say you don't feel it anymore,
And you've decided not to stay.

This dance we do has many moves
To master so we are told,
But constantly staying in the grooves
Is getting tired and old.

You dip to dodge reality.
I bend and touch the floor
To pick up my mentality
After it is shaken to its core.

Our dance brings out emotion,
And the fires in our hearts swell.
Our dance requires devotion
And lacks it just as well.
