Liberty (Minute Poem)
of the shackle and of the chain
yoked in vain
the serf and maid
labors unpaid
they sought freedom from master's cane
such a harsh bane
in the sun's rays
toiling for days
on our orb slaves still traded
their light shaded
dreams of a key
unto liberty
2/12/2014 is International Day For The Abolition of Slavery
