Softly

the Lingering
||

We DO know

                                        what should appear

( Children dreaming of love )

//

Now

Demons masquerading as men

Tragic  women

Dressed in ragged scorn

Give birth to those

Who wish that they

Were never born

./.

Strangest stars  !

Pale limp light

The twisting of fate

/::/

We do not really see each other any more

/:/

God knows why we write our poetry !

As if to strangers !

As if to fellow slaves !

•  •

We don't live here

We only linger

Perversely

Sullenly

wishing that we

We're never born
