Tonight she saw the marks
My wrist's burning red arcs
and when she asked why they were there
she caught my defenses, open and bare
I almost told her of the reasons why
but instead I let out a sigh
My lips grazing, her soft warm cheek
as round her waist, my arms did sneak
burying questions with one more kiss
silencing thoughts, with a moment of bliss
