Once upon a meeting by chance,
love at first sight,
An awkward conversation and an even more awkward goodbye.
And yet he got her number,
Somehow.

His memory of long walks in the park,
And how much she laughed at his jokes.
They weren’t even that funny
But she loved to stroke his ego,
And he, the sound of it.
A little sharp at the end,
But still so musical.
Somehow.

Her tale of forced coincidences.
Like how they both loved old movies,
And how they’d intentionally forget a second umbrella,
Even though, they both hated the rain.
And how cold her hands always were,
And his so magically warm,
Somehow.

A story of broken promises
Shattered hearts
And blood stained tears
They saw this coming
The ride was too fast, too easy.
Yet they stayed,
Somehow.

A tale of love sought,
Of love found.
A tale of love lost
Somehow.
