I walk the miles alone
a lone highway hard beneath
my feet .... step by step,
inch by inch, elapsed thoughts
with him, my love .....

With my jacket pulled tight
my thoughts running wild
tears falling so fast, with
shivering lips, remembrance
of days gone by, the torment
of love and pain ....

A picture flashes before my eyes
elegant and masterpiece are gone
with stomach turning to pain
flashes of guilt I cry, sets of cold
air, feels my soul, from mind
melting words, living within
my hurt ....

My cries to him fall on deaf ears
