Sep 2014
there are gloomy skies
o'er the valley
low clouds gather
for a wet rally

by the hour clouds
become darker in shade
at any moment
they'll pour and cascade

rain will course
down the valley folds
imbuing the land
with it's moistening soul

a refreshing drink
the valley plants shall receive
an invigorating dampness
will touch the grasses and leaves

rain will settle
on the ground there
whereby they'll be
a cleansed feel to the air

rain is ensuing
the clouds stand in readiness
to send down their
soaking lade
