The blazing fire
Died out quickly.
It was over
Before she felt the warmth.
Only an ember remained
A smoldering piece that didn't fade
She holds it, still.
Tried to ignite a spark
It didn't combust flames like it used to.
It died out soon enough
Until none was left of their love.
