Aug 2014
a revival of the spirit
he sought in the mountain's terrain
there he'd meet with inner peace
resting in his veins

the clutter in his thoughts
expunged by the spruce tree's lovely scent
there his mind could serenely wander
in this mellow firmamentΒ Β

his soul had been heavily
cloaked in the daily grind
of which he did gladly unyoke
to again feel aligned

the mountain's recess
was for him a place of restoration
where his life force
obtained needed recreation

to his central pith
a tranquil breeze did speak
calling him to return
to the mountain's peaks
