She looks up at the stars
that paint the skies
in constellations
and milky ways
and wishes he might think of her.

He looks from the stars
that paint the skies
in constellations
and milky ways
and glances at the
piece of paper that
rests in his hand
littered with words
he dares not speak aloud
from his heart to hers.

With the piece of paper in her hand
she blushes up at the stars
that paint the skies
in constellations
and milky ways
and smiles a thank you
in their direction.
