Drunk, we were both
Sober, I was alone
Not able to get drunk
I knew it was a bane

You remember all the things they do and say
they'd have forgotten them the very next day

She said "You are the best."
as she rested her head on my shoulder
For a second it felt like just
the world was warm again, despite being colder

She hugged me and asked
"when are we meeting again?"
"When ever possible" I said out loud
"If you remember this" I whispered to my self in pain

She held my shirt and stopped me from leaving
I planted a gentle kiss on her fore head and left
as I know the story's exact ending

She woke up to a brand new day
with a little hangover and almost zero memory of 'me'
I was still at her door
hung over that very night, I was never over her. May be!
