I
Wear
A
Mask
Of
Lies.

I am not
The person
You think I am.

I am not that
Joyous, radiant
Girl.

Nor am I that
Playful, vigorous
Girl.

Nor am I that girl
Who laughed at every joke
Ever told.

I am but the girl
Behind those masks.

The girl
Hidden
Deep within.

I am but the girl
Who is
Weak.

Who lets the
Agonizing pain
Tear her apart.

Limb
By
Limb.

Who is
Full of secrets.

Secrets no other
Knows.

Secrets that threaten
The existence
Of
Me.

Life.

So
Fragile.

So
Frail.

I am but the girl
Who hides
Behind
A
Mask
Of
Lies.
