Jun 2014
throughout the course of history
men have fought wars
over religion and territories
in these modern days
of enlightenment
still man has a fighting bent
his dark side
e'er upon the world
brings torment
the gun he employs
to garner authority
o'er lands and o'er seas
the Torah
the Koran
the Bible
shall voice their stories
of harmony
yet within their followers
hearts lie the seeds
of endless tyranny
the population of the world
live in perilous dread
of wars which leave
their kin folk dead
a new dawn on Earth
may never come again
should men of conflict
not abstain
ominous signs
are appearing
in the gulf region
religion and territories
are playing on the out of control
carousel
a nuclear mushroom cloud
is omnipresent
on the planet's orb
time
ticks
a pace
will man
not heed the song sheet
of a peace accord
