I wish you’d stop finding your way into my dreams
So I can stop waking up to a throbbing emptiness in my stomach.

You’re not there, your arms are not around me.
Your hands have never held mine.
Your fingertips have never grazed my spine.

You’ve never looked at me with that look in your eyes.
The one that says,
'How did I get so lucky?'
But I look at you that way all the time.

And you’re not even mine.
i'm tired of dreaming about you, boy.
