Can it be ( soft the river !)

We might not have to die
in a while

Brutality
Is all the rage down here

In the poisoned prisons we call -- our lives

The end of human dignity

Poets scrape ****** words
from songs of love

And feed each other polluted dreams
and curse out the beautiful
and
Revile pure saints

Sitting in the corner deli
Eating dill pickles
With my pastrami

Looking at the young *******
Flashing proudly

Hear the sirens of the cop cars
Speeding by

Soft the river
We

Might not have to die for a little while

Seeing the young ******* of the proud ladies

No let's not  die at all

I say

Let's not die

Let's love and survive
