May 2014
a dove lighted onto my bone and flesh shoulder
we looked each other in the eye
and knew we knitted together
so many centuries of mistrust-
broken and bridged in one shared moment
I have brought up a few wild doves thrown out their nests.... normally they keep their distance they look upon me as mom and dad rolled into one
