May 2014
My mind inside became the stifling
No air to breath
No wind to cool the raging madness
Caging me in
Blocking the light
Masking the past into a blurred
Forbidden

My inner prison held me fast
Took my time
Scared friends into enemies
Insanity with a grin that left me
Lost
Open
Broken
Wrapped in a cotton
To brittle to touch

Oh the day for a smile
For a beam tingled light
To warm me
To calm me
To show me a world I could live
And on that one day
When the sun illuminates upon the sapphire skies

I will be free
Free of the years
Free of the chains so painstakingly made to hold me
Free
Free I say
Free
