I know we have a job to do.
Said the Sun to his friend the moon.
But we deserve to feel love too,
And how I wish to hold you soon.

We're worlds apart and you barely know me,
But I have watched you white and bright.
And I truly feel, if you'd but show me,
What it is to fill my heart with light.

For when you are out the people dance.
The lovers will whisper in their bed.
When I am shining they don't stand a chance!
They work to die, they bury their dead.

Oh my love, la Luna, why do you hide?
Don't you know I long to see your face?
I'll wait for you to come around, be by my side.
To rush you out, I fear, is not my place.
"And hey there Mrs. Lovely Moon, you're lonely and you're blue. It's kinda strange the way you change, but then again we all do too..."
