Breathless sky
how silent clouds collide
leaving me to charcoal gray
teardrops will rain
today

Tomorrow how the Spring
sweetly sings of cloudless skies
blossoms will rain, fragrantly
the orange tree

and still
no matter the weather
gorgeous birds unwavering
will sing in secret codes
seemingly knowing
more than I
