Father
To hear you singing in the kitchen,
Not always in tune,
Not always as quiet as you assume,
Fills my heart with bliss.
Life can’t get much better than this.
To hear you belt out a melody,
Sweet in simplicity,
Heard by the entire city,
It’s the sound of a kiss.
Life can’t get much better than this.
