The Gods meant well tonight
For they ate the tastiest morsels
Drank the finest wine
And laughed at us
Below

No mountain rage or thunder strikes
No shakes under foot
No bullets fired
And the whole world was good
The whole world was good

The dice came out in a rumble to our skies
What was the bet we fear
The wine was good
Peace still wanted
No misunderstood

No killers on the streets
All pain ...all goneΒ Β
No cancer-ed angels
And the whole world was good
The whole world was good

The fallen glass fell as rain in a blizzard
Fall was out
Rage was in
The Gods meant well
A praised believe
Still they drank
Till the party fell over
And the 7 billion suffered
The bet was lost

Save us
Save our world
Save our self destruct
The Gods meant well

Didn't they!!
