Never knowing if you're alone
Who to turn to
Where to call home
Never knowing if maybe you're better off dead
Trying to categorize feelings
Into your heart or your head
Dark winding tunnels, expectations of pain
Not knowing if the light at the end is hope
Or a train
Can you outrun it?
Impossible.
Try and dodge it?
You'll get swept up in the undertow
Just look at your feet and keep going
Emotional tides high and over-flowing
Tears plunge into the absolute
Darkness of unknowing.
