The Soul Shot Out of the Body
It soared above the mountains, above the forests,
Embraced the whole Earth with its soul-essence, and then
Further into the vastness, it rose afar.

It rejoices in the fractals of possibility like a child!
Maybe today it will warm itself in that solar light,
The one that gives life to the third planet,
Or perhaps it will flee to the edge of the planetary dance,
To hide within Saturn’s rings?

Freedom above all!
But then it returns, calm again,
To that tired,
Somewhat broken body,
That goes to work, bearing material things,
And sometimes feels so dull…

But at night...
The soul shot out of the body!
