I lingered longer than I had intended
Observing the painting, mesmerised
Trying to understand, what the artist intended to convey in colours abstract
Each a piece, a part of the artist’s heart
Not that I understood, but it was touching, I tried to grasp
The colours blended, swirled
The brushstrokes long and short
Each told a story, apart
A whirlpool in my eyes swelled
I lingered, longer than I had intended, lost
