We met where the coffee’s always hot,
At a diner, same shift, same spot.
Flirting in whispers, sneaking a glance,
Dodging the boss for a secret romance.

I swore I’d sworn off love for good,
But you were sweeter than I thought I could.
Blue eyes, soft smile, patient and true
Turns out I was just waiting for you.

Now it’s love with a side of fries,
And kisses served with morning skies
