Nov 30
The waves are rowdy—
A storm is nigh,
The sky shrieks like an infant
I can’t pacify
My heart a ship
In the middle of this nor’wester
As it heaves and shudders,
Ready to topple over.
It charted no maps,
It measured no tides
And ignored the winds’ whispers
About the storm brewing outside.
Violent precipice
Now whips the portholes,
Beckoning the passengers
To jump overboard.
The ship lurches over!
Reality loses its grip.
Unforgiving is a storm
To an ignorant ship.
