In a hot button second
I rattle my cage
Unsurprisingly
I’m not surprised
I’m enraged
Been engaged
Now I’m married
Been martyred
With cause
As I fell from the top
Of my most
Tragic flaws
And I’ve lawlessly
Toyed
With the thought
Of amoral
But lost the pursuit
Of my power mad
Quarrel
My grappling
With justice
And vengeance
Is best
Served a frigid
Despondent wasteland
Of unrest
Having wrested my claim
From the jaws of defeat
Battle tested my truth
In the tongues of deceit
To be wielding the weapon
Of painless infliction
Through words
Your inaction
Just fuels my addiction
To burning facades
Reimagining gods
To keep moving
In unison
One with the cogs
