A tear makes a trail down your cheek
A sob cuts the air like a knife
A word lets a drop of sorrow fall to the ground
These feelings were kept inside for far too long
They are kindling waiting to ignite
Pain slices through your heart
As this wave of grief washes through your body
No longer are you shut up and waiting
The kindling has been lighted
The dam has been broken
These tears that may never cease have begun
