Trips by candlelight
Sold down the Suwannee
prepackaged if only
we'd listened
to prophets and seers
but we were deaf in
both ears and blind to the
signs that were shown
ah,
that wild blackwater
we rode it to Mexico
and
passed out on Mezcal.
We had to try
if not to live
then to die
as men.
