Somewhere by the River
I ran to the river.
To seek someone's soul
In the city
There's only hunger and
Depression is beginning to take its toll.
Maybe they are all hiding
Somewhere between the tall trees.
But somewhere by the river
I heard yours crying.
Like white paper starting to crease.
