The nights seem to last longer...
I watch the minutes crawl upon the ceiling
As I replay every word exchanged
From your tired lips unto my walls
Splatters of colorful paint decorate every brick placed
and you can almost trace the misunderstandings
If you examine the situation close enough
The fear comes from wanting
The pain is cradled in longing
and I wonder how I ended up falling
Pointless thoughts that keep my mind soaring
So far from reason's reach
and it's been too long this night
That day has breached
